Rumours are rampant that PGA star Tiger Woods is poised to fire Steve Williams , who has carried Woods’ bag since 1999. That development, along with Woods’ driving woes in the fall, suggest Tiger is having a run of bad luck with Caddies . . . On Sunday, Woods did his first interviews since his marital infidelity came to light. He chatted with Tom Rinaldi of ESPN and Kelly Tilghman of the Golf Channel, but for some reason turned down a request from A Current Affair . . . Reggie Hayes of the Fort Wayne News-Sentinel found it interesting that Woods set a time limit of five minutes for each interview. “Apparently,” Hayes wrote, “he felt more comfortable with a quickie.” . . . Woods is slated to hold a media conference April 5 at Augusta National. He obviously learned his lesson at that sexual addiction clinic; he won’t be doing any one-on-ones.
Woods’ media conference will be held before he makes his season debut in the Masters.
