Product Description

Toyota MR2 Performance Parts - Weapon R Secret Weapon Air Intake System adds more power, guaranteed! As a leading design engineer, Weapon R has the reputation for building the best quality high- performance performance air intake system for the serious car enthusiast like you. Install the new Secret Weapon performance air intake system and feel the power and torque while you are driving your Toyota MR2.The Weapon R System is the result of countless hours of testing and tuning of air intake velocity, air mass, and airspeed for each vehicle application. The result is an intake system that performs better than any other cold air intake, but with a short ram. It is made possible by Weapon R's patent-pending speed velocity theory: by creating a higher airspeed in the intake path you increase air mass, and airspeed, which greatly increase horsepower. The Secret Weapon intake was designed to increase air intake volume to the Toyota MR2 engine. The concept is to create two different air velocity profiles, one traveling at higher speeds than the other. This technology increases air volume and speed to the engine, which naturally feeds the engine 3x more air than the conventional air intake system.Guarantee power for your ride. Weapon R Toyota MR2 performance air intake system comes complete with everything you need to install on your ride in no time.Key features:-Gains of up to 16hp/13ft.lbs of torque (on some models)-True air flow-Thick interlocking cell polyurethane foam filter-Complete bolt-on system -Hardware included for easy installation-Factory 50,000 mile warranty and tech support

Queensland State Level Racing Wrap

The weekend prior to my braving of the international travel network the Queensland state level racing wound up with a highly entertaining 'Golden Holden' one hour co-driver mini-endurance race for 1970s Holdens. But more on that later. The previous weekend was the finale of the four round state championship held at Morgan Park Raceway where most of the twelve state level categories went down to the final round. Headline act of the meeting was a national title, the Supersports/Sports 1300 Interstate Challenge. For those of who who do not know, Sports 1300 is an ageing category for small sports prototype cars limited to 1300cc car engines which dates back to I think late 60's. Known in some circles as Clubmen, the category started with Lotus 7's and variations on that theme and expanded over time into some wicked and purposeful looking sportscars. Supersports was the 1990s upgrade of the category which rebooted it for 1100cc motorcycle engines. Since then Supersports now also allows up to 1600cc for car engined vehicles. Stephen Morcombe successfully defended his title at his home circuit in his Chiron LMP3-05 Toyota, a car which is probably the fastest under two litre racing car of any description in the country outside of Formula 3. Morcombe himself is an excellent driver, the combination was just too fast for Richard Fricker and his Radical SR3 Suzuki. Third was Ash Lowe driving the gorgeous looking Hooper SNH9901, which now runs a 1600cc Toyota engine similar to Morcombe's rather than the 1300cc Suzuki it was built with. Fourth was Grant Watson driving his locally developed Prosport Mulsanne Kawasaki and just behind him was the first of the ageing Sports 1300 eligible cars, Dave Barram driving his Asp 340 Nissan, winning the S1300 title for the I think fourth time? Formula Ford is a small open wheel racing car category. Take a Formula One car, remove the back wing, and the front wing. Make the tyres much smaller and rip out that 800-900 horse V8 and replace it with...
