Army Jeep?
Last Saturday while out driving, I saw this Jeep Comanche in a parking lot and couldn’t help but flip a quick U-turn to get a closer look. Having spent 8 years in the US Army myself, I have to give this Jeep some credit. I’m impressed with how closely this rig resembles the 80’s GM trucks still in use by the military when I joined in the late 90’s. From olive drab paint to the blacked-out wheels, this Comanche brings back memories. The fuel can was missing, but the Army-style hand-sprayed yellow letters, warning labels, and water can add to its authenticity. As far as I know, the only Comanche ever commissioned by the Army is a badass helicopter –but this little one looks more than ready to serve. See additional pics after the jump!
